Yes We’re BACK!! – means a few things at once

Back to Spain, Back to something basic I used to be, back to pursuing life-long dreams like shooting and yes back to the blog.  But let’s talk about the site:

Yes After a lonnng absence from  the site, I came back today and did some sprucing up. Added FACEBOOK id support – now you can login using your FACEBOOK account – and your FB icon will be used instead of  your NTC icon (dont worry ours comes back when you login with your NTC id/password).  Also added A k i s m e t support which means posts are s_p_a_m checked.  – more changes coming your way (have ideas? – send them!).

For today’s change I had to do upgrade the site, enable new releases of the underlying software including p-h-p, install new plug-ins, update themes, finally apply for and create a new FB app.  And then I found out the new theme has a bug providing avatars so I had to port/create an avatar function- Ha! Not bad for a BASIC programmer. – I tested it using pre-registered names not sure what will happen for anyone that doesn’t have an NTC userid.

It does seem kind of archaic using the post features here compared to FB, no?? HA HAHA — I will establish FB look & feel like the “like” buttons etc…

but fear NOT you rebels, the ONLY link with FB is I use their login servers to authenticate your id - that’s where it stops – they have NO access here. We own our duki.

Still, I can’t help but feeling like I’m working in a BBS  right after the internet was launched to the general public… like I’m riding horse-carriages on a highway.

But if you stick it out — I will too. And even if  you don’t, I might — after all some blogs are monologues –

Yes NTC’s posting mechanism is archaic – but you all still have rights as authors to post.  Even if you don’t post you can always read mine and others that will.  After all, putting me aside, Amanda Regino is the top poster coming in at 43,  Mike Nario is second at 20 posts and Gloria is on third at 13 posts.  Everyone else is far in the dust.  Sorry, No stats for comments.

I’ve also FB enabled Gaceta (our global bilingual version)  - and there are some goodies in NARIO.COM like automatically showing you my most recent nariophotos pictures, etc

Our world, aka nario.com enterprises is yours to enjoy… as little or as much as you want. Including getting your own blogs, email-ids, etc

Yes, I’m back and as tough as it will be to avoid bad habits I want to stick it out.
