Satellite Imaging
This section contains realtime satellite views (static and movie like loops)
The loops used to point to the Hurricane Alley in the Western Atlantic but starting in 2006, we have more loops. They point to Africa (where most hurricanes are born)
deeper in the Gulf on Mexico and further up the northeastern coast, as far as New England, where we are expecting increased hurricane activity (also Tornado activity). We even have loops ponting to the Pacific Typhon Corridor.  -- For most, you can interact by doing things like zooming, loops speed, type of loop, wavelength used (Normal, infrared or other), selecting overlays, etc.

Make your selection now: New for 2006: click desired geo area and type of "loop" (satellite movie)
Fixed Satellite loops
More choices below:

NEW: Follow the Action "floater" loops
In addition to the "fixed" location loops on the left, we now will have up to 5 separate "floater" loops below for storms, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and other extreme weather to be tracked wherever it develops. Because of this, at times there may not be any active floater loops. Start with Floater#1 below and continue with the others. When we track an event, (like a given hurricane), we will name the loop.
