What is Operation Rice Bowl?
Operation Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services' Lenten program. Just as we celebrate the Eucharist on Sundays, we can use Operation Rice Bowl as a way to "break bread" together with family and loved ones. We engage in the traditional practices of Lent and pray together, fast through making sacrificies, learn about the members of our family in the development world, and give concrete assistance to those most in need.  
This year, Operation Rice Bowl celebrates its 30th anniversary. By participating in Operation Rice Bowl, we continue a rich tradition, and join in solidarity with all members of our human family as we put our faith into action.
